That was my question too, right up until Anna & John took over Vintage Brewing Co. on the banks of the Wisconsin River and threw a wedding worth the drive — sharing the town, incidentally, with a full-blown Miata convention.
Bolo ties. So many dresses. Sinking sand underfoot, dogs that were somehow everywhere and nowhere at once, and the eternal wedding-day question: alcohol or water? (Both. The answer is both.)
Woven through it all, beautiful Ho-Chunk tradition honoring the land we were standing on.
